Aston Villa are into their first League Cup final since 1996 after defeating Blackburn Rovers 7-4 on aggregate in the semi-final.
Manager Martin O’Neill tasted success in the competition with Leicester City in 2000 in the last League Cup final to be played at the old Wembley Stadium.
The Villains made it to this stage in the competition for 14 years, when they defeated Leeds United 3-0 in the final with goals from Savo Milosevic, Ian Taylor and Dwight Yorke.
